Only in it for the money.
I have been listening to Salooney Tunes ever since I learned to talk, and let me start off by saying that. I jumped on the opportunity to see him when I found out he would be playing near where I live and had my family come along with me. The show would have been better titled Chris Stapleton featuring Hank Jr. If Hank had played longer or at least the same amount of time, I would have been okay with the length he played. Nope, Hank played for 45 minutes. Stapleton played for an hour and a half, and while he is a fine performer, he was still the opening band and played way too long. Sure, hank sprinkled a little racism, sexism, and homophobia, but I had already expected that. What I didn't expect was hearing almost nothing but medleys of other peoples songs, medleys of his own songs, and songs people know but couldn't sing along to because he kept changing the lyrics. At the end, he walked off the stage before the last song and then..... nothing. Just the house lights coming back on. No encore, nothing. Worse concert I've ever been to. You could tell he was just following a routine (I looked up reviews of concerts from 2 years ago and he was singing the same songs and spouting the same lines). Best part of the show was getting out to the parking lot so I could actually hear an entire Hank song being played on car radios.
